Learning

In Canada CJI supports development education and advocacy in parishes, schools and other communities, which express solidarity with our brothers and sisters in developing countries and the issues that affect them.

Our education work is rooted in reciprocity. Mutual visits, educational activities to learn about each other’s reality, formation of youth, parishioners and others, have made Canadians not just donors, and “the poor” not just “recipients” or “victims,” but friends connected by strong bonds of solidarity and love.

We recognize our need to be evangelized by the poor, to learn from them about their experience of God and the faith-justice mission we share.
