Colombian Rumba raises hope and funds for women victims of the armed conflict

Canadian Jesuits International would like to thank everyone who came out on Friday, June 6th for "Rumba por las Mujeres", as well as all those who contributed their support to the women affected by the armed conflict in Easter Antioquia, Colombia.

The evening was a fun event with delicious traditional Colombian food, as well as music and dancing with a special performance by Afroyou and DJ Ivan. Amar y Servir director Jorge Serrano SJ welcomed and thanked everyone for their support to this important cause. The event was organized by a group of Colombians living in Canada who are committed to supporting justice, development and peace in Colombia.

All proceeds will go to Amar y Servir's "Program for Peace", which assists approximately 3,000 victims of violence and their families to recover their dignity. You can read more about this program by clicking here.

If you would still like to make a donation for the work done by Amar y Servir in Eastern Antioquia, you can do it on the CJI website or through CanadaHelps.
