Benefit event for Colombian women affected by the armed conflict

CJI is extending a warm invitation to everyone to attend "Rumba por las Mujeres", which is being organized in Toronto to support a Jesuit sponsored project in Colombia called "Program for peace". It will be a fun event with Latin American music, lots of dancing, traditional Colombian food and great fun to support this great cause.

Program for Peace, which is a program of Amar y Servir, supports women affected by the armed conflict in the Eastern Antioquia region of Colombia. For more information you can visit our website or the website of Amar y Servir at http://www.amaryservir.org.co/. This event is being organized by a group of Colombians living in Canada who are committed to supporting justice, development and peace in Colombia. Canadian Jesuits International is supporting this initiative.

Please join us on Friday, June 6th 2006 from 9pm to 3am at VIDA LOUNGE, located on 1345 St. Clair Ave. west (St. Clair/Lansdowne). Ticket price is $20 and all proceeds will go for the support of the women of Eastern Antioquia of the program "Provisame".

If you are unable to attend but would still like to contribute to this work, you can make a donation to CJI "Colombia Mujeres- Programa por la Paz" through www.canadahelps.org or through the CJI website www.canadianjesuitsinternational.ca
