Solidarity in Christ's Mission
North American Social Ministries Conference A gathering of people involved in Jesuit Social Ministries throughout North America will be held at Regis University in Denver from June 18 to 22, 2008. Drawing from the lived experience of the participating ministries, we will reflect on Jesuit Social Ministries and God's call today by focusing on the following questions: What is our common experience? Where do we find God present? Where is God calling us? Jacques Haers SJ, internationally renowned for his work on peace and justice will be the keynote speaker, plus there will be a number of resource people available in thematic workshops, affinity and regional groups as well as theological reflections. The Province of the Jesuits of Upper Canada is contributing to the gathering with a presentation from the JCEAF team, a theological reflection from Peter Bisson, and the participation of David Eley and Jenny Cafiso in the Steering committee, the Liturgy committee and the program committee.
