Gandhi Ashram school is a violin school for some of the poorest children in Darjeeling. It was started by Candian Fr. Edward McGuire who died in 2005. it is one of the projects supported by CJI.

The Saint Alphonsus Social and Agricultural Centre (SASAC) was started in Darjeeling by Father J.M. Abraham, a Jesuit missionary from Canada, some thirty years back. The focus of the work is in food and increasing self sufficiency.

AJAN - the African Jesuit AIDS Network was set up in June 2002 by the Jesuit Superiors of Africa and Madagascar as a new Jesuit effort to respond to HIV/AIDS by developing an appropriate social ministry. It is headed by Canadian Jesuit Michael Czerny.

A private, non-profit relief and development association based in Darjeeling, India. It was founded in 1969 by Canadian Jesuit Fr. Edgar Burns and focusses on providing opportunities to poor families through empowering women.
