Programs Bellarmine Institute of Language
Darjeeling, India Fr William Bourke SJ In 2005, the Bellarmine Institute of Language published two bibles in Nepali: a pocket New Testament and Psalms, and a portable bible, a smaller version of an edition published in 1999. This previous edition was the first complete bible in Nepali, followed in 2003 by a children's bible. Established in 1994 in a small office near the Darjeeling bazaar, the institute was awarded the "Madan Puraskar" in 1995, the year's highest literary award in Nepal. Return to All Programs
