Programs St. Ignatius Church
Goomgooma Fr Philip Xalxo SJ This parish serves around 2,500 Catholics and people of other faiths, some of whom are very poor. It runs a primary school with very low fees and a dispensary serving destitute sick people. For many, the only source of income is work on a tea estate, but since this industry in north Bengal is in crisis, people are either badly paid or cannot find work at all. The Church is an offshoot of Hatighisa parish.  Return to All Programs
