Darjeeling, India Fr Joseph Victor Pitchai, SJ Established in 1888, the college became a university department in 1927 and is today attended by 1,655 students. Guided by a mission to form the whole person, the university has departments of English, Nepali, Bengali, Hindi, Economics, Political Science, History, Sociology, Anthropology, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, Zoology, Botany, Commerce, Science, and Computer Science.
