Programs St. Xavier's School
Kathmandu, Nepal Sch. Dilip K. Toppo, SJ Around 1,135 boys and girls of high school age attend St Xavier's School in Jawalakhel. Most students pay fees because the school does not receive government funding. A scholarship programme supports 73 poor children, mostly from woman-headed households. To help them cope with school work, the children live in a hostel and spend weekends at home. The hostel costs $500 CDN per year for each student. A new section is under construction to house a Higher Secondary programme.  Return to All Programs
