Programs Chelston Catholic Parish
Lusaka, Zambia Fr. Antoni Baranowski, SJ Chelston parish, with around 4,000 members, focuses on providing holistic care to AIDS patients as part of a wider programme run by the Archdiocese of Lusaka. The community home-based care programme provides holistic care to HIV patients in collaboration with a local clinic. Around 30 voluntary caregivers received basic training and regularly visit patients, monitoring their medication. A nurse provides the necessary medical expertise and identifies new patients.
