Happy first year anniversary, Tess Sison!

They say time flies when you are having fun. That surely applies to working with CJI’s Communications Coordinator, Tess Sison. We cannot believe it has been a year already since Tess joined the CJI team last September.

Tess joined CJI with more than three decades of experience as a multi-media journalist and communications professional. Her work has appeared in the Toronto Star, Rappler, the Philippine Center for Investigative Journalism, World Press Review, and Inter Press Service. She has authored and co-authored several books, including A Guardian of Memory: The Life and Times of Armando J. Malay. She was editor and staff writer for the Anglican Journal, communications consultant for the World Association for Christian Communication (WACC) Global, co-editor of The Freeport-Baldwin Leader, correspondent for World Press Review, among others.

We are truly grateful for all that she has accomplished in such a short period. She has written inspiring articles and narratives on how the work of our Jesuit partners in Africa, Asia and Latin America creates a more just world, especially for poor and marginalized people. We are thankful for how she has ensured that the stories of our partners and the people they accompany reach all of CJI’s friend and supporters. Most of all, we are blessed with her presence on our team. She inspires us to do our work well and to do it with passion and good humor.

Thank you, Tess and we are looking forward to many more years of working with you.
