Organization: Canadian Jesuits International (CJI)
Location: 70 Saint Mary Street, Toronto, Ontario (Bay/Bloor area).
Employment Type: Permanent, Full-Time (37.5 hours per week). Six-month probationary period. Hybrid work with some travel in Canada, and occasional international travel.
Starting Salary Range $66,000–$72,000 (commensurate with experience) with additional increases based on performance + yearly COLA increases + 5% contribution to RRSP + benefits package; starting vacation three weeks (to increase to 4 weeks).
Position Summary
Canadian Jesuits International (CJI) is seeking a dynamic, motivated individual to lead its outreach program in Canada. The Outreach Coordinator will foster global citizenship and promote social justice through education and advocacy, in solidarity with CJI’s international partners.
The Outreach Coordinator will engage diverse Canadian audiences—students, educators, schools, parishes, and organizations—by designing impactful workshops, events, advocacy campaigns, and innovative educational resources. This position also involves organizing short-term international immersion programs and developing CJI’s presence on social media.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead CJI’s formation and public engagement programs on social justice and solidarity
- Organize events, educational workshops, and advocacy campaigns targeting diverse audiences across Canada
- Develop and expand CJI’s Youth 4 Others (Y4O) programming, including social justice days and biannual advocacy symposiums
- Collaborate with national and international partners to enhance outreach and advocacy efforts
- Build a network of individuals committed to CJI’s mission of reconciliation, peace, and social justice
- Coordinate educational tours in Canada for CJI’s international partners
- Participate actively in CJI’s strategic planning, team meetings, and board meetings
- Perform other duties as needed to support the organization’s goals
Qualifications
- Strong commitment to social justice and international development, with experience in social analysis
- Work experience in the Global South is an asset.
- University degree in the social sciences, education, theology or related fields
- Knowledge of Catholic Social Teaching
- Experience ingroup facilitation, adult education, youth programming, and work with secondary and tertiary educational institutions
- Proficiency in public speaking and event organization
- Excellent written and spoken English
- Proficiency in French and/or Spanish is an asset.
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to meet deadlines and work independently
- Capacity to work effectively with Jesuit institutions, Catholic organizations, and diverse communities
- Availability to travel domestically and internationally, and to work occasional evenings or weekends
