“Faithfully bring forth justice” is the theme of CJI’s Easter Appeal this year. It is based on a Holy Week reading from one of the “servant songs” in Isaiah:
“Here is my servant … he will faithfully bring forth justice. He will not grow faint or be crushed until he has established justice in the earth” (Is 42:1–4).

We invite you to join with CJI this Easter as we try to follow the example of God’s servant to bring forth justice faithfully in all that we do. As CJI director Jenny Cafiso says: “This is our mission. We must now discern how to fulfill it in a time of great upheaval, when the most fundamental rights and freedoms, such as worship, asylum for refugees and free speech are being threatened.”
CJI continues to work with partners in Africa, Asia and Latin America to bring forth justice. But we need your help! Here are just a few of the many ways you can support this work:
- Training human rights promoters in Chiapas, Mexico
- Educating refugee children through the Global Education Initiative of Jesuit Refugee Service in Baalbek, Lebanon
- Healing and nursing people at Jesu Ashram in Darjeeling, India
To support the work of CJI this Easter, please
