Over 90 percent of the donations received by CJI are utilized for programs: at least 80 percent of program monies are sent overseas to support projects and up to 10 percent is used for education and awareness-raising activities in Canada.

Educating Canadians about our programs and the struggles and aspirations of people living in poor and marginalized communities is an integral part of our mandate.

A small team of committed staff and volunteers helps us keep overheads to a bare minimum. Our most recent statement of operations in the graphic below is consistent across the last several years. More detailed financial statements for the last three years are available here:
