Padre Melo (Fr Ismael Moreno SJ) of Honduras has been recognized with the Champion of Justice award by the US organization CARECEN (formerly known as the Central American Refugee Centre). This award is given to human rights activists fighting to promote justice and put an end to impunity.
Padre Melo is the director of Radio Progreso and of the Reflection, Investigation and Communication Team (ERIC) in Honduras. Canadian Jesuits International is a partner of Radio Progreso and ERIC and we congratulate Padre Melo on this well deserved award!
