Note: This is the Single Response, Recovery, and Reconstruction Plan prepared by the Society of Jesus in Venezuela, and supported by the Xavier Network. The Xavier Network, which includes 14 Jesuit development organizations including Canadian Jesuits International, provides funding and technical expertise and aims to channel international solidarity into a single, coordinated response.
After more than a month, we continue to stand by those most affected by the earthquakes in Venezuela, distributing emergency aid.
For the first six months, we will continue to distribute basic necessities, hygiene kits, and medications to the most vulnerable people.
At the same time, together with our partner organizations in the country, we are already implementing the reconstruction phase and launching a program that will allow us to reach more than 35,000 people over a two-year period.
OUR GOAL : More than 35,000 people supported over the next two years
The program is divided into five intervention plans:
| 01 · Education in Emergencies |
To ensure that education continues uninterrupted and that children can continue to exercise this right. This will be achieved through:
|
| 02 · Physical and Emotional Health |
Through Jesuit-led health clinics and psycho-emotional well-being activities.
|
| 03 · Protection and Rights |
To ensure that affected people can safely access essential services and assistance programs. This will be implemented through:
|
| 04 · Livelihoods |
To promote economic autonomy and rapid income generation for families who lost their means of livelihood. This includes:
|
| 05 · Strengthening Staff |
| By developing and strengthening their technical, operational, and management capacities, we will ensure a coordinated, efficient humanitarian response aligned with international emergency standards. |
Venezuela still needs us.
With your help, we’ll make it possible for more people to recover and move forward.
