CJI Youth for Others Advocacy Symposium participants reflected on the lessons they learned by looking at various Canadian Museum of History exhibits through the lens of girls’ and women’s rights.
For example, at the Canadian Stamp Collection, they searched for at least three stamps (out of more than 3,000 in the collection!) that featured prominent women and learned about their contributions.
At the Women and Indigenous Society exhibit, they looked for artifacts that shed light on the role Indigenous women played during this time.
Special thanks to Baljot Rai, a Grade 12 student at St. Paul’s High School in Winnipeg, for creating the scavenger hunt guide.
