Last Fall, the CJI Board approved 15 new and ongoing projects that support marginalized communities across Africa, Asia, the Middle East, Latin America, and the Caribbean.
New initiatives include a project by the Amazonian Service for Socio-environmental Action, Reflection and Education (SARES) in Brazil, training 390 Pan-Amazon community leaders on ecology and climate justice with a focus on women. In Afghanistan, Jesuit Refugee Service (JRS) will train 773 female youth in Kabul and Herat on community development, computer skills, English, psychological aid, and social cohesion.
Other projects include school infrastructure and scholarships in Nepal; refugee integration in Jordan; synodal church-building in the Amazon; Indigenous law training in Mexico; and scholarships in El Salvador. Read the full story: bit.ly/CJIprojects
