Canadian Jesuits International (CJI), together with its sister organizations in the Xavier network, responded to the needs of civilians forcibly displaced by the conflict between Israel and Hezbollah in Lebanon last September by launching an appeal for humanitarian aid through the Jesuit Refugee Service (JRS) in the country.

Funds raised have supported the relief efforts of JRS among refugee, migrant and vulnerable local communities in Lebanon.

JRS distributed food, basic hygiene kits and mattresses in shelters. It also provided temporary shelters and services to internally displaced migrants, refugees, vulnerable citizens, and its staff, who were among those forced to flee their homes.
