Canadian Jesuits International (CJI) is receiving donations for the critical work of its Jesuit partners who have been affected by the U.S. government’s unprecedented freeze on foreign aid spending in January.
At least nine life-saving and life-sustaining projects run by Jesuit Refugee Service (JRS) affecting more than 100,000 forcibly displaced people in nine countries have been disrupted by the suspension. Fe y Alegria’s school feeding and psychosocial programs in five countries has also been affected. Jesuit Migration Service programs, as well other partner projects in various countries have also been affected.
CJI and members of the Xavier Network, of which CJI is a member, are contributing to this effort. Learn more, including how to donate: bit.ly/CJICallforHumanity
